Employers that hire DTS apprentices
83 UK employers with public evidence of recruiting on this standard since 2021 — from the government vacancy service, archived job adverts, university partner pages and official case studies.
Three honest notes about this list. Inclusion doesn't mean open applications — most schemes open once a year (typically September to January) and some run intakes only in some years; the careers links are where to check. It isn't exhaustive — only employers we could publicly evidence are listed, and plenty of smaller employers hire one or two DTS apprentices through the government service each cycle. And programme branding varies: the same ST0119 standard hides behind names like "Technology Degree Apprenticeship", "Digital Degree Apprenticeship" or just "IT Apprentice (Level 6)" — the evidence links show the wording each employer uses.
About the pay figures. Where an employer shows salary lines below, each is a dated, sourced data point — an advertised salary, an employer-stated figure, or a self-reported number from a public review or forum post. Self-reported figures are unverified and pay rises through the programme (the year badge matters: a year-3 figure is not a starting salary). Figures are from the year stated, not adjusted to today — treat them as calibration, not a promise, and check the current advert before deciding anything.
The going rate, across all employers
- final year £24,000-£27,000; ~£36,000 landing role on completion — final-year DTS apprentices comparing pay and post-completion 'landing role' offers (employers unnamed) year 4 (self-reported, 2023 — The Student Room)
- £26,776 UK average — Glassdoor aggregate for 'Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprentice'; £22,398 (25th percentile) to £32,334 (75th), £38,817 (90th) (self-reported, 2026 — Glassdoor)
- £50,000 after negotiation — same thread: a completer renegotiated the ~£36k landing offer to £50k in the same role (self-reported, 2023 — The Student Room)
Worth reading whole: The Student Room — Thread on pay at completion: ~£27k typical late-scheme, ~£36k landing roles, negotiation adds substantially. · The Student Room — 'Best employers for DTS apprenticeships' comparison thread naming dozens of schemes.

How to use this list
Pick the employers you'd genuinely want to work for, find the apprenticeship section of each careers page, and note when their scheme opens — then apply early, because large schemes sift on a rolling basis and the application timeline is unforgiving. The live vacancies page catches the employers advertising on the government service right now, which is where the smaller (often underrated) opportunities appear. How to actually find degree apprenticeships covers the full search strategy.
Compiled 2026-07-24 from public sources only; each entry links its evidence. Old adverts are linked via the Internet Archive where the original has expired. Corporate schemes change, merge and pause — treat the careers page, not this list, as the source of truth for any given year.
