Terms of use
By using The Apprentice Route: DTS you accept these terms. They're short and mostly say the same thing in four different ways: this is information, carefully sourced, but it is not advice about your situation and it can go out of date.
Information, not advice
Nothing on this site is careers, financial, legal, tax or immigration advice, and reading it doesn't create any professional relationship between us. The guides describe one person's experience of a degree apprenticeship and the rules as they stood when they were checked. Decisions about what to study, who to work for, what to sign and what to do with your money are yours, and for anything with real consequences you should take advice from someone qualified and regulated to give it.
Articles that quote rules on funding, employment, tenancies or tax carry the date the rules were checked. Those rules change. A dated page is a warning, not a guarantee.
Accuracy and official sources
The course, university, employer and vacancy pages are generated from official government datasets and rebuilt regularly, but they are a copy, and copies lag. Standards get revised, providers join and leave the register, and vacancies close early when enough applications arrive. Always confirm on the official source linked from the page — and on the employer's or university's own pages — before applying or relying on anything.
The site is provided "as is". I don't warrant that it will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing is complete or current.
Links to other sites
The Apprentice Route: DTS links out constantly — to gov.uk services, universities, employers and news coverage. Those sites aren't mine, I don't control them, and linking to one isn't an endorsement of it or of anything it says. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you're there.
Advertising
This site carries display advertising supplied by Google. Adverts are selected by Google, not chosen or endorsed by me, and appearing here doesn't mean I recommend the advertiser. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them. If an advert here is misleading or inappropriate, let me know and I can block it.
Copyright
The articles, commentary, design and code are mine and are protected by copyright. You're welcome to quote a reasonable extract with a link back, share pages, and use the site as a reference. You may not republish articles wholesale, mirror the site, or scrape and re-list its pages in bulk — including for training datasets or generated content — without permission.
Material reproduced from apprenticeship standards, provider registers and vacancy listings is public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0; the pages that use it say so, and that licence governs your reuse of that material, not these terms. Third-party names and logos belong to their owners and are used here descriptively.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for loss arising from use of this site or reliance on anything in it — including decisions about apprenticeships, applications, employment, tenancies or money. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be excluded. If you're a consumer, these terms don't affect your statutory rights.
Changes and governing law
These terms may change; the current version is always the one on this page. They're governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
